In July, I took a spontaneous trip to the Bay Area to visit one of my best friends from college. I had never been to California before so I was very excited to explore some of the cities and soak up the sun. We spent most of our time in the San Francisco area, but also took a weekend trip to Monterey, Carmel By-The-Sea, and Big Sur areas. Besides visiting the Golden Gate Bridge, this weekend trip was probably my favorite part of the vacation. Traveling down highway 1 is absolutely beautiful and definitely a must see if you visit California!
