Photographing college graduates is always a joy—especially when the session takes place at the scenic University of Denver. DU holds a special place for me, too—it’s practically in my backyard, just a short drive from where I live. In June, I had the pleasure of photographing Lana to celebrate her graduation with a personalized session around campus.
The University of Denver (DU) offers gorgeous backdrops for graduation portraits. From its distinctive architecture to its thoughtfully designed landscaping, the University of Denver offers a memorable setting for graduates to celebrate the end of their college journey.
For Lana’s session, we made sure to visit a few standout spots across the DU campus:
Mary Reed Hall – This historic building is one of the most recognizable features at the University of Denver. Its grand staircase, stone facade, and ivy-covered walls make it a timeless location for classic graduation portraits.
University of Denver Sign – We stopped by the largest DU sign for that must-have graduation shot. This bold and elegant spot adds a polished, professional touch to any grad session.
Williams Tower – Featuring a striking gold steeple, Williams Tower has become an iconic Denver landmark. The tower adds a unique architectural flair to any portrait and stands out beautifully in the Colorado sunlight.
Lush Campus Grounds – From tree-lined pathways to the garden space near Iliff Avenue, we took full advantage of DU’s natural beauty.
Congrats on your accomplishments Lana!
