10 Best Denver Wedding Venues

January 19, 2024

Colorado has so many amazing wedding venue options. I really do not think you can go wrong. As a Denver wedding photographer, I’ve been to many Denver area weddings and Denver wedding venues. While Denver may not offer mountain views comparable to Summit County and beyond, it could be the ideal place to host your wedding.

Here is why:

  1. Denver is very accessible for out of town guests. Traveling to the mountains takes time, and travel plus accommodations can be limited or pricy.
  2. Denver has a ton to offer guests with it’s one-of-a-kind attractions, sporting events, dining & nightlife options, and family-friendly activities.
  3. Denver is central to many popular Colorado attractions. Post wedding, guests can travel North and visit Rocky Mountain National Park or head West into Summit County.

Keep reading to learn about 10 of my favorite Denver area wedding venues.

1. Skylight

Skylight Denver is very versatile venue. It’s located in the Santa Fe Arts District in Denver, Colorado. The building itself is historic (built in the 1900s), and features large skylights and exposed white brick walls. As a wedding photographer, I am a huge fan of lighter colored venues. Bright walls help to bounce the ambient light in the room, and from a decor perspective, you can do so much with a clean, bright venue.

Venue Details:

  • 4000+ square feet
  • Hosts up to 200 guests
  • 24 hour rental (this is extremely unique)
  • Offers vendor recommendations, but no requirements
  • Parking lot available for guests (this is very helpful for a downtown Denver venue)
  • Outdoor patio space included
  • Pet friendly

2. Blanc Denver

Blanc is a beautiful Denver, Colorado wedding venue. The venue is located in the RiNo Arts District, just north of the Ballpark neighborhood. In my opinion, Blanc is the perfect indoor/outdoor venue. The inside is just as beautiful as the open courtyard. The inside of the building features exposed brick walls with white ceilings and large industrial looking windows. The outdoor space includes an open courtyard with trees and market lights. Additionally, a grapevine-lined walkway leads to an intimate gazebo. Across the courtyard sits a vintage industrial barn with large sliding metal and glass doors. If you turn around and face the other direction, it will seem like you are at a garden wedding (ivy and plants line the building). The only potential con of this venue is they do not have a parking lot. The area is pretty busy – both business patrons and Denver residents are competing for street parking. Guests may be better off taking a ride share to the venue.

Venue Details:

  • Indoor offers about 1500 square feet of space
  • Seats up to 150 guests
  • Innovation room (780 square feet) can act as additional event space or day of prep space
  • Must used approved caterers
  • Dancing/loud music only allowed inside the venue
  • Events must conclude by 11PM on Friday/Saturday and 10PM, Sunday-Thursday. These are set times due to city ordinance laws and cannot be adjusted.
  • Blanc requires the use of an event coordinator or wedding planner (can just be “day of” planner)

3. Moss

Moss is another Denver wedding venue that offers a blank slate for couples with a vision. The wedding venue is located just South of Denver in the Baker neighborhood. To book this venue you definitely have to love city vibes.  It’s located right off of Santa Fe – a pretty busy street in South Denver. During late evening hours you can expect the traffic to be less chaotic, but that is something to keep in mind.

At Moss Denver, there are two different rooms to fit your event needs: The Edison Room and The Chandelier Room. The capacity is up to 200 guests inside their Chandelier room, so it’s on the larger side. There are plenty of fun elements to the venue such as the moss wall.

Venue Details:

  • Larger room is 3000 square feet
  • Seats up to 200 guests
  • Offers in-house furniture (tables and chairs)
  • Two private dressing rooms
  • Must use approved bartenders and caterers
  • Venue lot with 45 parking spaces. Street parking available in neighborhood.

4. The Manor House

The Manor House is not technically in Denver, but it’s not too far of a drive. It’s located about 30 minutes west of Denver in Littleton, CO and sits atop a hill with a beautiful 360 view of the foothills. This venue is actually historic – it was built in 1914 by billionaire John Shaffer and frequently hosted former presidents Teddy Roosevelt and William Howard Taft. The mansion has since been restored and upgraded to offer an elegance space for your wedding. I am a big fan of bright, light colored reception spaces for photography purposes and this venue delivers!

When you drive up the hill to the Manor House through the private gate (yes.. so cool!), you arrive upon the 8,000 square foot property. While the Manor House is close to neighborhood, the property itself is very secluded and spacious. Since it’s on a hill, you have clear views of the foothills, and perfect opportunities for sunset photos.

Venue Details:

  • Seats around 200 guests
  • Indoor and outdoor ceremony options
  • Tables and chairs included in rental
  • Bridal and groom suite on-site
  • Can stay overnight at Ken’s Carly Cottage

5. Villa Parker

Villa Parker is also not located in Denver – it’s located about 30 minutes south of Denver in Parker, Colorado. The Mediterranean estate offers a grand entrance, vibrant gardens, and plenty of gorgeous photography backdrops, including a view of the Rocky Mountains. Villa Parker is the perfect venue for couples who want a “all-in-one” venue. The gardens are perfect for an outdoor ceremony, you don’t have to travel off-site to take beautiful photos, and you can dance the night away in their indoor, star-lit ballroom.

Venue Details:

  • Seats up to 200 guests
  • Bridal suite
  • Day of wedding planner provided with rental
  • Catering through preferred vendor list
  • Tables and chairs included
  • On-site parking lot
  • Pet friendly

6. The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park

The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park is the furthest venue from Denver on this list, but it’s definitely one to consider. It’s located in Evergreen, Colorado, which is about a 40 minute drive from Denver. I know “barn weddings” often get a bad rep, but this venue is so unique – it doesn’t feel like your typical barn venue.

The Barn at Evergreen Memorial Park is a remarkable assembly of five historic barns from the local Evergreen & Conifer area. Each barn, ranging from seventy to one hundred years old at the time of its build in 1999, contributed a piece of itself to create what the barn looks like today. I personally think the most stunning feature of the barn is the antique stained glass windows. The windows allow more natural light into the barn and make for beautiful photo backdrops. The Barn is surrounded by mountains, evergreens, rolling meadows, and a reservoir.  Elk, buffalo, and other animals roam the park property (but are contained in gated areas). If you are lucky, you will see animals on your wedding day. 🙂 This venue is definitely the most affordable venue on this list, but it also requires the most DIY/outside service provider bookings. The Barn does not offer on-site catering or food service staff. You can hire your own caterers, bring in food trucks, or have food delivered.

Venue Details:

  • Seats around 200 guests
  • Bridal suite and grooms room
  • Tables and chairs included
  • Can bring in any vendors

7. Highlands Ranch Mansion

The Highlands Ranch Mansion is located about 25 minutes south of Denver in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The mansion, built in the 1800s, is a historic icon for the Highlands Ranch community. For nearly a century, the Highlands Ranch Mansion served as a residence for some of Colorado’s most notable families. Now it’s popular for tours, events, and walks through its large Historic Park.

The Mansion is surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds, but it’s also located right next to trails that are part of the Highlands Ranch Metro District trail system. Since the Mansion sits somewhat on a hill, you receive a clear view of the foothills for photos. Between the gorgeous Mansion, mountain views, and extensive trails to utilize for photos, I don’t think you can go wrong with this venue!

Venue Details:

  • Mansion is 27,000 square feet
  • Accommodates up to 250 guests
  • Outdoor or indoor ceremony space
  • Two private dressing suites
  • Ample parking
  • Venue is wheelchair accessible
  • Tables and chais included in rental
  • Must use preferred caterers

8. Arrowhead Golf Club

Arrowhead Golf Club Colorado

Arrowhead Golf Club offers an iconic Colorado backdrop without having to make the long trek into the mountains. The Golf Club is located in Littleton, just 30 minutes from downtown Denver.

The two outdoor ceremony sites offer a little bit of everything; red rocks, mountains, and tons of greenery. The Roxborough Ceremony Garden is best for couples looking for that intimate atmosphere. The Tent Lawn ceremony location has more of a panoramic view of the rocks. The golf course and beautiful grounds offer endless opportunities for photos.

Venue Details:

  • Outdoor tent seats up to 200 guests, indoor space seats up to 150 guests
  • Includes tables and chairs, house napkins, china, glassware and flatware
  • Includes cake cutting service
  • On-site catering – choose from plated or buffet dinner
  • Food and beverage minimums depend on booking date

9. Willow Ridge Manor

Willow Ridge Manor is located in Morrison, CO, roughly 20 minutes from downtown Denver. Sitting high in the foothills overlooking red rock formations and city lights of Denver, Willow Ridge Manor is a beautiful place for a wedding.  The Manor was built as a family home in 1911 and was originally located on a farm. In the 1980s, the farm was re-developed for housing units and the mansion fell into disrepair. A group of people rescued the mansion from demolition by moving it to its present location, south of the town of Morrison. Since then, it has been refreshed, and is used as a wedding and event venue. I’m a big fan of the red rock formations next to the ceremony site. I also love how bright and airy the reception space is.

Venue Details:

  • Maximum of 200 guests
  • Dressing rooms available upstairs
  • Parking for about 100 cars
  • Tables and chairs included
  • Must select one of their preferred caterers

10. The Oxford Hotel

The Oxford Hotel is an iconic Denver landmark and wedding venue, located in the heart of Lower Downtown Denver. Established in 1891, the building was the first hotel in Denver. The urban wedding venue combines authentic, Colorado charm with modern luxury amenities to perfectly blend the past with the present. The Oxford Hotel offers three separate spaces to host your wedding ceremony in if you choose to have it on-site. If you ask me, all of the spaces are very tastefully decorated compared to what you may envision a “hotel ballroom wedding” would look like. The Oxford Hotel is located in a great location downtown Denver. If you walk down the block you can take photos by the iconic Union Station. Walk the opposite direction and you can visit the dairy block, a Denver micro-district featuring restaurants & bars, premier shopping, etc.

Venue Details:

  • Maximum of 250 guests in The Grand Ballroom
  • Seasonally-inspired and locally-sourced catering by award-winning Urban Farmer
  • Curated services and experiences for your wedding party at The Oxford Club, Spa & Salon
  • Custom experiences at the Cruise Room, the first bar to open after the Prohibition Era in Denver, right off of The Oxford Hotel Lobby
