Graduating from the University of Colorado Denver is a milestone worth celebrating— Mari wanted her graduation photo session to reflect that. We captured her CU Denver graduation photos using a blend of historic architecture and modern city backdrops, highlighting both the character of the Tivoli Student Union and the vibrant energy of downtown Denver.
We started the session in front of the iconic Tivoli Student Union, one of the most recognizable buildings on the CU Denver campus. Built in 1870 by German immigrant Moritz Sigi, the Tivoli originally housed the Colorado Brewery. Today, it serves as a historic and cultural anchor in the heart of Denver’s Auraria Campus. With its striking brickwork, unique windows, and vintage industrial details, the Tivoli Student Union is the perfect backdrop for CU Denver graduation photos—a blend of Denver history and university pride.
After we wrapped up at the Tivoli, we explored nearby spots that showcased Denver’s skyline and cityscape. CU Denver’s location in the heart of downtown makes it easy to add variety to your graduation session—whether you’re drawn to sleek architecture, rooftop views, or the urban energy of the city streets.
One of the best parts of any graduation session is finding ways to personalize it—and Mari brought the perfect idea. As a motorcycle owner, she wanted to incorporate her bike into a few portraits. The result? A bold, confident set of images that stood out in the best way. Props such as motorcycles, sports gear, instruments, or even pets are a great way to make your graduation photos feel unique and reflective of your personality.
Congratulations to Mari on earning her physics degree from the University of Colorado Denver! I wish her all the best as she takes the next exciting steps beyond graduation.
