I met up with Kara and Brock on a gorgeous October day for their Milwaukee engagement session. We started at a special place to them – Milwaukee’s Third Ward. Kara and Brock live in the Third Ward and wanted to incorporate its architecture and feel into part of their session. We ended walking around quite a bit, but primarily took photos along the riverwalk and on Broadway Street before heading over to Lakeshore State Park.

If you follow my work, you know that I have photographed countless sessions at Lakeshore State Park. Something I have not done before is photograph right next to it, on the sidewalk near I94. Upon arrival, the light was hitting just right in that spot, so I took the opportunity to create a few vibrant golden hour photos (scroll to middle of gallery). Thanks Kara and Brock for humoring my location suggestion…sometimes shooting in front of a highway works out. 🙂

These two are very sweet and I enjoyed working with them. I’m looking forward to their wedding next year at The Atrium.
