In this post, I wanted to discuss one of the trickiest decisions to make – first look or no first look? I know that this is a “newer” tradition and you might be feeling like it’s a good idea, but your family might be swaying you to go the old fashion route. Or maybe you […]

This past weekend, I returned to the Special Olympics of Wisconsin Madison Polar Plunge event. This annual event raises money to help Special Olympic athletes across the state train and compete year round in 18 different sports. Check out some of my favorite photos from this year below! Who wins “best plunge outfit?” Want more […]

Hiring a professional photographer for your corporate event may seem like a large financial investment – especially if you believe event photos have a singular purpose (event recap & event promotion). In reality, event photos can be easily incorporated into overall marketing and PR strategies. When leveraged effectively, event photos will make a lasting […]

Madison, Wisconsin provides numerous location options for engagement photo sessions. There are tons of parks, the city is sandwiched between two lakes (you can’t beat that!), and the downtown is very walkable. I love the diversity that this city offers for shooting locations. Whether you are looking for a nature setting, a “classic Madison session” […]

When deciding on a location for their engagement photos, Erin & Aaron decided there was no better place than their own neighborhood – the Willy Street neighborhood in Madison, WI. I honestly love Willy Street as a photoshoot location because there is so much backdrop variety. The area has countless murals, unique small businesses such […]

Shooting events is honestly so much fun. I get to meet new people, enjoy the festivities, and take all the photos of course :). I was happy to return to Forward Fest again this year. For those unfamiliar with the event, Forward Fest is Wisconsin’s largest technology and entrepreneurship festival. Since starting in 2010, it […]

When my good friend, Julia, told me she was planning on studying abroad in France for a semester, my first thought was “cool, when can I come visit?” – a natural response for someone who had never been to Europe. Soon enough, Julia left for France and months passed by. She finished her courses, started […]

I had so much fun photographing (plus enjoying my time as a “guest”) at Madhu and Josh’s two-day wedding celebration. The couple decided to have two ceremonies to honor both the Hindu and Christian wedding traditions. Day 1 was the Iyengar wedding held in the Sri Venkateswara Swami (Balaji) Temple in Aurora, IL. All the […]

I absolutely love shooting at Monona terrace! There may not be terrace chairs, but it’s quieter, has beautiful greenery, Capitol views, and it still comes with a lake. 🙂 Check out some of my favorite photos from Rosie & Aidan’s session. They are absolutely the sweetest people & we were blessed with the most beautiful […]

I met up with this sweet family at Waunakee Village Park. They were looking for updated family photos and a few large group photos to celebrate a 50th anniversary! Waunakee park is very quaint with its beautiful stone arched bridges and creek. Check out some of my favorite photos from this session below.
